The Manager's Toolbox Training Program
This training program is designed to help supervisors, managers, and those on a management career path, develop or enhance their supervisory skills. These twelve (12) monthly 1-hour virtual sessions are delivered in a virtual setting and designed to help improve productivity, increase customer satisfaction scores, and help raise the comfort level of those in a supervisory role.
Course Content:
Session 1 - What Do They Want from Me?

- Learn what management skills are necessary to excel at supervising people.

- Learn best practices for communicating as a manager.
- Accept your role as a boss and not a peer.

- Learn how to change a to-do list into an effective time management plan.
- Understand how to prioritize your tasks.
Session 4 – Can Somebody Please Help Me!
- Learn how delegation can be an effective tool for time management and employee development.
- Minimize time robbers so you can schedule your tasks effectively and meet your deadlines.
Session 5 – Where are all the Good People?
- Understand the importance of hiring the right people and creating a culture that attracts and retains talent.
- Learn how to prepare for the interview.
Session 6 – This Guy Looked So Good on Paper!
- Learn to create powerful, quality questions.
- Develop strategies for evaluating candidates.

Session 7 - Where are We Going?
- Learn the importance of Setting Expectations
- Set clear and measurable performance goals that are aligned with your organization’s strategy and (S.M.A.R.T.)
Session 8 – How Was I Supposed to Know That?
- Develop Key Performance Indicators for your department.
- Understand the impact of empowering your employees to partner in the tracking and measuring responsibility.
Session 9 – Why Can't They Just Do Their Job?
- Understand the importance of dealing with problem performance head on.
- Learn the 6 Steps to Performance Improvement.
Session 10 – Might as Well Just Do It Myself!
- Practice dealing with common behaviors of poor performers.
- Demonstrate the steps of a successful one-on-one monthly coaching session to gain employee commitment.
Session 11 – Here Comes the Judge!
- Understand the benefits of an effective performance appraisal.
- Learn how to avoid common errors in performance appraisals.
Session 12 – Please Don't Cry!
- Delivering an effective performance appraisal.
- Role play delivering negative feedback for a positive outcome.
- Program Review!
