Meet the Team
Abbe Meehan
Abbe Meehan is a corporate trainer and coach with extensive experience in human resources, training, development, and consulting.
She is a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC™), a trained DiSC Facilitator, and holds a degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University. Abbe also serves as a trainer and mentor for Child Abuse Prevention Services, a non-profit volunteer organization on Long Island dedicated to keeping children safe from harm through educational programs in schools.
Abbe is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), serving on many local sub-committees such as the Long Island Partners in Making Our Graduates Workforce Ready. She is active in the local chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC).
Patrick Meehan
Patrick Meehan is an accomplished business leader with over 30 years of experience as a chief executive at Modern Medical Systems. He entered the healthcare industry as a clinical engineer and strategically built a company around sound principles of leadership, entrepreneurship, and customer focused service.
He developed a culture within the organization that allowed them to grow quickly and develop a national presence within the clinical engineering world. The keys to his success were soundly based around the people, processes, performance and profit of the organization. Pat developed a strategic planning process that set the path to the future. He aligned his staff around Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that would allow for adjustments to the plan when they were off course. By harnessing the power of his team, he was allowed to focus on the strategic planning of the organization rather than the day to day management.
Today Pat works with other business leaders to assist them in the often difficult task of seeing the future, setting the course and aligning their teams around a solid set of KPI’s that allow these leaders to work on the business and not in the business. Often he finds that CEO’s of small to mid-size companies have a vision of where they want the company to go, but find it difficult to manage that growth within their respective management teams.
Pat works with his wife Abbe who was responsible for the training and development at Modern Medical Systems; understanding that people are not always hired with the skill sets needed to effectively manage the business. In their past experience managing a primarily technical staff, they found management principles were often foreign to this demographic. Abbe successfully created training and development programs to give these managers the tools they needed to become comfortable and excel in their leadership positions.
